Baroque House is a pre-war conservation shophouse, situated within Singapore's bustling heritage enclave, is a meticulously preserved pre-war conservation shophouse, steeped in a captivating history. The shophouse's design was artfully thought through by owner Sonia Ong.
Originally, the remnants of a grand country home, including its courtyard and roof gable, were concealed within the confines of a row of two-storey shophouses a century ago, its rich heritage shrouded in secrecy until recent times.
Today Baroque House has been rebirthed, meticulously restored to its former glory while still holding its fascinating history. While seamlessly integrating modern conveniences of the 21st century, the essence, integrity, and intricate details of its original design have been faithfully preserved, offering guests an unparalleled blend of historical charm and contemporary comfort.
